People need to chill with the “why i hate religion but love Jesus” video. the poet wrote it as his expression of his opinion. it’s art. just like any art, it can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. many people are saying he’s attacking the church and he’s the type of christian who only wants to have the good aspects of religion. what some don’t realize is that his main idea was to love Jesus above all before throwing religion into the mix..yahdig? don’t get me wrong, i love the church and being catholic. Jesus’s wife is the church. but he’s voicing out the types of things that tend to turn many people off by religion. within the past 2000 years there have been hypocrisy and blasphemy with our church(es), don’t forget that.

don’t think i’m tryna attack the people that have argued against this video. i’m just another person putting their two-cents in about it. but i think the reason why i agree so much with this video is that in his description he talks about how religion can lead to despair because you can’t follow “rules” that religion creates, of which others can follow better than you. (thats not his exact words, go look at the video if you want but that’s how i interpreted it). from this, you plainly feel and are made to think you are unworthy of God because you are a sinner. and honestly, you won’t really understand this concept unless you’ve felt truly unworthy to God due to you comparing your failures to others of your religon..if that makes sense.

some people really just need to understand that this was written by your fellow brother, one of which is also a sinner but a true follower of God. and if you don’t believe that then go read his blog and watch his other videos, THEN tell me you really think he’s not a true christian. the hate and rebuttal i’ve seen with this video has gotten outta hand. just stop the hating and realize that his true message was to just love Jesus.
